Description
Note: I am pricing these very low because one of the tubes has white flakes floating inside. My understanding is that those are from the cathode coating that has flaked off over time; likely because the tube was overheated. It can also happen from age. There are mixed opinions on if that is safe to use or not. I posted detailed pictures. Do not use these tubes unless you understand the risks. They may work great and last or they may burn out or develop a short. ————————————— These vintage RCA 5U4GB tubes test: 54-56/40 (Baldwin - flakes) 59-55/40 (Hammond) on my TV-7D tester (calibrated 1/27/24). Brand new tubes should test 62-62/40 or higher. Tested for shorts, emission, and noise. They are closely matched and both made by RCA. One is branded Hammond with the date code December 1961. The other has is branded Baldwin and dated October 1959. They have black plates and side O getters. I do not accept returns unless the items are not as described. Please look at the pictures and ask me any questions BEFORE buying anything. I’m in the process of listing thousands of tubes. If you want something in particular message me to see if I have it. Thanks!
